About Us //
At Butterflies Nursery School, we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child and we expect all staff to share in our commitment. Each child is given the opportunity to be individual and independent. We celebrate cultural differences and the uniqueness of each child is recognised and respected.
We offer a home from home environment and through nurturing and affection we give each child a love for learning to take to school with them. We offer a wide range of stimulating activities to bring out a child’s curiosity and to awaken their creativity, as they grow within a bright and friendly environment.
We recognise the importance of a successful partnership with parents and strive to achieve this through annual sports day, nativities and reports. We have an open door policy and take pride in daily handovers and use communication books to give more information. We also use the key persons system, which allows each parent to build a special bond with a staff member – who know their child and understands that child’s individual needs.
Our Garden
We have a beautiful enclosed garden, which offers children the opportunity to enjoy outside play while getting lots of fresh air in a safe and secure environment. We have lots of new equipment including water wall, cars and bikes.
We also hold sports days and outdoor classrooms.
Our Outings
During the time children are in the Nursery they will be taken on walks to the nature reserve that the nursery backs onto, the local park and the local church.
Our Parking
Please exercise extreme care when driving into and out of the Nursery. PLEASE DO NOT PARK NEXT TO THE NURSERY ENTRANCE DOOR.
Parking is available around the back of the nursery, however we do ask you take great care in manoeuvring around this area as there will potentially be parents and children around.
Outdoor trips
Our Meals
Only high quality, fresh natural foods are used in our menus supplied by Zebedees where a delicious range of meals are provided to the children.
